Compulsory Basic Training. This is the minimum required standard to get you up and running on a two wheeled motorised vehicle. Where you can ride up to 125cc motorcycle on “L” plates. (Age restrictions apply).
Direct Access Scheme. This the next stage to obtain your full licence. We move you up when ready, from a 125cc to the bigger bike class. The size and power output will depend on your age. (Please see the attachment on “Routes to your full licence”).
When you have attained the required standard on the bigger bike, we will put you forward for your MODULE 1 TEST. This includes a number of slow control exercises, controlled braking exercise, emergency stop and an avoidance exercise. These are all carried out on a multi-purpose training area off road.
Once you have passed the MODULE 1 TEST, you will have a further training day(s) prior to taking your MODULE 2. TEST. This is a 45 minute road ride test, where an examiner will follow you out on the road and assess your riding ability and control of your motorcycle.
If you are successful at this point you will receive your full licence. This will allow you to ride any size motorcycle within your age restrictions. (Again, please see the attachment on “Routes to your full licence”).
Enhanced Rider Scheme. This is a course aimed at riders of any level, from just having passed there test to experienced riders. For a long time, riders have been under the illusion that once they passed their test that they would have to wait for two or three years to move on to their advanced training.
Well this is not the case! The Enhanced Rider Scheme, was introduced to fill the gap between the new rider and the advanced training process. This course will give you a nice gradual introduction to an advanced level of riding. This course is geared to your individual needs and to also work on areas that you may not be so strong in.
This is an ongoing assessment course which on average takes 3 days training in order to cover all competencies and to obtain an “A” grade.
This course is now recognised by most insurance companies, who will offer you discounted insurance as an advanced rider. You will receive your certificate and riders record at the end of your training, showing your progress throughout the course and your end result.
This course is aimed at the “Born again biker “, who has been away from the biking scene for one reason or another and who wants to get back into riding again!
It`s also suitable for those who have passed their test, but for one reason or another, have not ridden since passing it! Also, for someone who has passed their test, but may still not be happy with their riding ability.
Again this course, like most, is geared to the individuals needs and we will work with you at your pace.
This course is designed to get the rider prepared for their IAM or RoSPA assessments.
Again, this course will be governed by the ability and the needs of the individual and then work towards the advanced syllabus as required.
These courses are for those of you who wish to pursue a career in motorcycle training as an instructor.
Our one-week course will give you the basic requirements to go away and study, prior to attending a training school for further practical training before being a qualified down trained instructor.
Our three week course will give you all the necessary tools to go off to a training school and seek employment as a down trained instructor for CBT Courses.
You will cover:
Your last week of training will be live training, under supervision with students on a CBT course. You will also have compiled a complete folder for your future training needs.
We will train you One 2 One unless you request otherwise! We can also start and finish your training from home with certain training courses, (depending on training needs).
